Take a tape measure (a sewing tape measure works best, but not required).

Rest the tape approximately two fingers above your brow (about 1½") and about ⅛" above the ear. Right where the hat band would normally sit.

Tape should be firm but not tight. It should wrap straight across your mid-forehead.

Make sure it stays level all the way around your head (not dipping down behind your ears).

Check the sizing chart below.

If you are in between sizes, go with the bigger size.

It carries the 7542 profile — a 4 5/8" medium cattleman crown and 4 1/4" medium curved brim — finished with a matching self-felt band, three-piece silver-tone buckle, an American flag hat pin, and a red/white/blue USA 250 satin liner. Crafted from Stetson's proprietary 6X fur felt, handmade in Texas, with a genuine leather sweatband. Includes a limited edition USA 250 hat box.
